Introducing: the SRL Teacher Ambassador Fellowship!
Educators: are you ready to take student journalism to the next level, beyond your classroom and into your community? The (new!) SRL Teacher Ambassador Fellowship is a year-long, fully funded professional learning experience designed to equip educators to lead video and audio workshops, mentor colleagues, and bring PBS News Student Reporting Labs programming into their schools and communities.
Fellowship highlights:
📍 In-person training: July 14–17, 2026 at WETA headquarters in Washington, DC, featuring hands on workshops, peer collaboration, and time to plan for local mentorship.
🤝 Year-long engagement: Monthly cohort calls, shared resources, and the opportunity to mentor 1–3 educators in your community.
💡 Support & stipend: Fellows receive a $1,500 stipend to support outreach, leadership, and programming, plus ready-to-use materials and ongoing national support.
Who we’re looking for:
Educators passionate about student voice, civic engagement, and media education who are excited to produce student-driven stories, expand SRL’s impact locally, and mentor peers throughout the school year.
