Beate was  a great woman,  who visited India many times and presented  besides great dancers , Purulia Chhau, Yakshagana and other forms. Her autobiography is amazing chronicling her travels world across and also her days during second world war!!

All of us have known her at some point on account of her admirable work for Asia Society. The memorial meeting would revive memories of her extraordinary work.
