QuickCheck is a property-based testing tool developed by Quviq in
Erlang which tests code against specifications by generating random
tests, then simplifying failing tests to minimal, easy-to-understand
counterexamples. It can be used to test Erlang code directly, and
foreign code via an adapter, and has been applied to radio base
stations, email and instant messaging gateways, SIP parsers, etc
etc. I will give a QuickCheck demo, and talk about some of the new
extensions being made to the tool.

I should also note that we'll probably go out for drinks afterwards at
The Carriage House on 59th btw 2nd and 3rd.

Where do we RSVP?  Here, or some other place?

Sorry, I was asking, but some things changed, and I won't be able to make it back in time, so I'm not able to attend this time.  :(

Would love to participate, but, unfortunately work and family
obligations prevent me from joining in.
However, for everybody that's still on the fence, I suggest you go.
I've met John Hughes and he's a very personable individual. Plus,
we're using QuickCheck on a daily basis and it's a very interesting
and useful tool.

Mihai

PS: glad to see that the NYC Erlang Group is still alive :)

Totally,

I just sat down to write some tests by hand, which now seems so yesterday :)
