warm and roomy abode in flatbush has a 3 mo sublet opening soon!

hey all, my flatmates and i are looking for someone to move into our three bedroom flatbush apartment next month. the dates would be from january 10th or 11th to late april (or thereabouts, dates can be a little flexible).

the room in question is big and sunny, with west facing windows. there’s a handful of plants and several more in the living room, and would love to sublet to someone who will take care of them (about 10 minutes of watering a couple times a week). it will be furnished with a full sized bed, bedside table, and a bookshelf. there is a dresser and a closet which would be cleared out for hanger space.

the apartment is a 3-bedroom in a 6-storey elevator building, with high ceilings and wood floors. the living room, eat-in kitchen and baño all have lots of natural light and are relatively roomy, and warm! it’s a 12-minute walk to the B/Q at church avenue and ocean, and an 8-minute walk to the 2/5 at church avenue and nostrand. 

you would be living with two womyn of color. they are originally from minnesota & north carolina/nigeria, and love writing poetry and fiction, reading, dancing, wellness & yoga, jazz, and inner & collective liberation. as a household we are all pretty independent, but warm and communicative with each other. we are cool with having friends over, but don’t have big parties or loud nights out of respect for our neighbors and each other. would prefer a nonsmoker. we are on the more optimistic side, generally kind and supportive of each other’s needs. the rent is $606 per month, plus utilities (gas, electricity, internet) averaging about $50 a month, and a small contribution for shared household goods (toilet paper, dish soap, etc). for the prorated month/s, we'd adjust. asking for a $600 security deposit in the form of a check that won’t be cashed as long as everything is intact and clean at the end of the sublet. unfortunately we can’t have any pets.
