We are looking for a 7th housemate in our giant collective Victorian home in Ditmas Park, Brooklyn. Please help us spread the word if you know anyone who's looking!

We are a 1.5 year old cooperative home committed to caring for each other and the world through activism, art, culture, movement, food, hugs, and laughter. We are named “Hoop House” because a hoop house is a structure that amplifies light and warmth to help incubate growth, and that is what we aim to be together in this place.

We're looking for a move in anytime between now and March 1. This is a pet-free home, and unfortunately we cannot accommodate kids at this time. There is no smoking of anything in the house. We are located a 5-min walk from the Cortelyou or Beverley Q stop, and it’s an easy transfer to the B. It’s a 30-min train ride to Herald Square.

We especially value clear and honest communication, commitment to your contribution, open-heartedness, self-awareness, a love for laughter, and a home that feels like family. We aim to create a home environment that is supportive of one another as well as the world around us.

This room is enormous and sunny -- tons of windows, third floor, two delineated spaces in the room -- perfect for bedroom + office, art studio, or music area. Rent is a steal for a space this size at $1050/mo.
