Roommates are a little bit of everything. There's not a lot of common
space to hang out in, but I like the interactions when they happen. I'm
hoping this house converts into a collective one roommate at a time,
starting now as it's the first time I've posted here. Who knows? I've
hung out with roommates but not really connected. It's been hard for me
to find enduring, more intentional friendships. This is not the best
marketing paragraph, it's just real.
The landlady is the one that only wants men here. She is elderly and
hasn't had good experiences with female tenants, so that's the way it
is. Aside from that, she lets me show the place and pick people to live
here. It's mostly been first come first serve. If you want to make
this intentional, you can be the first to be interested in meeting
people when they visit, so it can be a consensual decision.
You would rent the room by paying the landlady directly (you are only
responsible for your share of the rent). $800 deposit plus first month's
rent to move in. You can sign a lease, or pay month to month: whatever
your preference. Only men. Only one person per room. Once a month, we
each put in money to hire someone to clean house. House is pretty quiet.
Includes window a/c unit, but if you have your own it can be used elsewhere.
Room is 150 sq ft
All utilities included
Wifi internet included
