Rent is $1033/month

Hi! We are two friends who have been living together for 6 years and are excited to find a third roommate to join our sweet home. We live in the first floor apartment of an Victorian house in Ditmas Park (there are two other apartments in the building, and another out back in the converted garage). We are a 5 min walk to the Q train at Beverly and at Cortelyou.

The apartment is beautiful and sunny, has 3 bedrooms, a large living room, separate kitchen, 1 bathroom, porches, yard access (we have large raised garden beds out back), and washer/dryer access. The room available has a window, a closet, and it's own entrance with a door to the backyard and little back porch. Rent is $1,033 for the bedroom (rent is split equally btwn the 3 rooms), plus utilities (gas, electric, internet). The room can come furnished if desired, as our beloved departing roommate is moving in with his partner and won’t need all of it. If a parking spot is desired, there is potentially a spot to rent from our landlord in the back for $100/month. 

More about us: We are two white women in early-mid thirties, one Ashkenazi Jew and one raised Christian, a community organizer and a social worker. We like to host occasional Shabbat dinners, singing gatherings, block gatherings and dance parties. We keep a Shabbat friendly, queer friendly, sound-sensitive, and fragrance-free space. We share food, shop at the Park Slope Food Co-op, and have chore rotations. 

We are looking for someone to live with who: likes keeping a clean space, is shabbes loving or supportive, queer or queer-friendly, are good communicators. The lease goes through the end of August 2020, so we would like someone who can commit to the rest of the lease. Sorry, no pets or couples. The landlord has renters pay a security deposit as well as last month's rent upon moving in. If that's prohibitive for you, we can talk about it! We would love to learn more about you and have a conversation about the possibility of living together!
