We all know that in order to be a successful Unfranchise owner it requires that you be coachable and that you coach. I'm going to ask that you read the remainder of this email wearing your "coachable" hat and then share this info with your teams wearing your "coach" hat.
We
ALL must follow certain guidelines to ensure that our UBPs maintain the professional environment they were created to represent. These guidelines are set forth by corporate and are to be adhered to by all of us in the field and enforced by our UBP coordinators. Please expect and respect that the following guidelines will be enforced at all UBPs from this point forward:
1. Dress Code -
EVERYONE should dress professionally. Doesn't mean it has to be a suit and tie, but for men, a collared shirt and dress pants.
TEE SHIRTS AND JEANS ARE NEVER ACCEPTABLE. For women: dresses, skirts, dress pants, etc. are all great. JEANS are not acceptable regardless of how great you might look in them :-) And, of course, footwear,
no sneakers and beach sandals. If you would wear it to the beach, it probably is not accepted as part of professional dress. I know it's summertime, but
no shorts, please. These guidelines are to be adhered to by us, the distributors, but equally as important we all must coach our guests on how to properly dress as well.
2. Children - I think everyone knows how much we love children; however,
they are not allowed at UBPs. Unfortunately, we can't make exceptions for those of us who know our children are very well behaved.
Corporate dictates no children at NMTSS events. As we all know, our children cannot become partners until they reach the age of 18; therefore, no one under the age of 18 (or VERY close to 18) should be in attendance.
3. Seat saving - We all know the effort it takes to have a guest in attendance, and we always want to seat the guests as close to the front of the room as possible, and that's why people save seats. Understandable.
If you have saved seats and the seats are not occupied by 7:25 p.m., you can longer save the seat.
Effective immediately, any seat that is not occupied with a body @ 7:25, will become available to anyone who wants it. If you have saved seats by placing materials on them, someone will be going around the room removing the materials to make the seat available. All materials collected will be placed in one location chosen by the UBP coordinator for you to collect later. I'm sure everyone would agree that it's only fair that unoccupied seats go to the people in attendance and not folks who show up late or not at all.
4. Side talking and leaving the room -
Coach your guests to take notes and write down their questions to be answered later. It is very distracting to everyone around you when you're side talking with your guests and/or another distributor to explain something. Likewise, with respect to leaving the room --
take care of bathroom duties and water issues prior to the meeting starting. It is very disruptive to the speaker and everyone else when people leave their seats for various reasons.
Folks, nobody wants to be the official enforcer. It's not a "feel good" responsibility for the enforcer. If we all just read these guidelines and choose to abide by them, no one will have to be the "bad guy" who turns folks away at the door because they're not dressed properly or because they have a child in tow, etc. No one wants to take your seat from you either. We should all be striving to have our meetings be the absolute best they can possibly be and that requires having rules and respecting those rules. If you have any questions regarding any of the above or would like clarification, feel free to contact your Local Coordinator, Yi-Mei Han.
Thanks for your cooperation.
