Come join the team of one of the fastest growing energy efficiency companies in the tri-state area.

We are looking for experienced closers with a proven track record. When you join us you will start out for 60 days paid with commission and job related expenses only (can easily reach 13k/month if you help to close around 1 average size sale a week). After 60 days if proven successful you will enter a training phase that can last anywhere from 1 to 6 months depending on what specialization you are interested in. During this training phase you will make up to $5,000 base + commission per month, plus $1,000/month worth of outside training allocation (the rest of the training will be on the job training, with a percentage happening in a classroom/teacher setting at our offices and a percentage happening on job sites and in the field). Any time spent training will be considered time at work (with a 35 (40) hour work week any time spent in classroom, outside, or on the job training will count towards your 35 hours) any voluntary overtime will be paid extra, according to NYC labor laws.

After 90 Days of training you will be eligible for our insurance and benefits package.

If you want to learn more about this position, or would like to apply please send your resume and cover letter to: jo...@efficient-nyc.com or mbrot...@greenappleenergyusa.com

You will be selling energy efficiency solutions to your personal market specialty (either residential, multi-family housing, small-medium commercial, medium-large commercial, or non-profit). During your first two month probationary period you will be driving (you must own your own vehicle, but work-related mileage expenses will be reimbursed) to homes, stores, buildings, etc. These may be from leads that we give to you or ones you generate on your own.

The biggest focus this year will be T12 lighting in High-Bay applications, T12s are the thick florescent lights and are no longer being manufactured. Currently there are large incentives to switch the lighting to a more efficient substitution. Our favorite choice is the LED High Bay. We can provide better directed and higher light output than the old systems while consuming only a fraction of the electricity. With current conditions in Long Island, replacement for medium-larger jobs ~50 8' 2bulb T12 fixtures, the cost after incentives is either $0 or close to it. And financing is available for the initial up front cost. At around $500 per fixture with sensor and control systems, that is a significant commission, and everyone will eventually need to switch so they might as well do it while the state, utility companies, and federal government are willing to pay. After this year the 179D federal incentive is gone, and it will start to cost company owners lots of out of pocket money to keep their work spaces lit.

You will enter a prospective customer with a sheet (you will be trained on what to look for and different fixture and bulb types) You will collect copies of 12 months of electrical bills, count the fixtures using your sheet, and then fax or email the sheet and bills to our in house team who will put together a proposal and help you visit the site to sell the system if necessary.

We are a NYSERDA certified lighting partner, a NABCEP certified solar installer, and a BPI energy efficiency specialist. If you can sell the proper quota of lighting and/or solar systems during your 2 month probationary period then you will become a paid employee and receive free training and certifications that will help you advance in this company and in the energy efficiency career ladder. We will then help you decide your specialty, whether it is solar sales, solar installation, lighting sales, lighting installation, building envelope energy efficiency, residential, multifamily, or commercial energy audits; and get you the training and certification you need to excel in that specialty, and your base pay will increase along with your training and certifications.

Please send cover letter and resume to either jo...@efficient-nyc.com or mbrot...@greenappleenergyusa.com
