Title: Java Developer
Duration: 3 Months (With Possibility of Extension)
Location: Louisville, KY
Job Skills/Requirements:
Education
•Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field or equivalent experience.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Experience, or Characteristics:
•5 years of programming and systems analysis in a high technology business/area.
•Solid skill set in one of Java, C#, or C++ required.
•Be able to think in abstractions and turn abstract ideas into concrete examples.
•Effectively communicate in a clear and concise manor.
•Ability to break down large complex problems into manageable parts.
•Exciting to work with new technologies and create innovative solutions.
Helpful / Preferred:
•Experience in software development environments such as Linux, Oracle, JBoss and/or Tomcat preferred.
•Experience developing software using Amazon Web Services.
•Experience with Agile software development principles.
•Experience with NOSQL technologies such as Hadoop, Mongo, Dynamo or Cassandra.
•Experienced at defining REST interfaces.
•Strong mathematical or statistical modeling.
•Coursework or practical experience with data mining.
•Coursework or practical experience with building algorithms
