Individual contributor and lead with proven QA and automation skills. Has technical leadership and team leadership capabilities. Demonstrates expertise in a variety of software QA concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of complicated tasks. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
Performance /Automation Engineer
Optimize the Automation /Performance and scalability of customer products. Find the root cause of bottlenecks and initiate performance improvements. Responsibilities include:
Develops and maintains Automated/Performance scripts using automated testing tools and framework. (Load runner /QTP)
Develops, modifies, executes and reviews software test plans and test cases. Analyzes and writes test standards and procedures
Maintains documentation of test results to assist in debugging and modification of software.
Analyzes test results to ensure existing functionality and recommends corrective action.
Creation of traceability and requirements coverage matrices to ensure the quality of the features under test.
Create valid estimates regarding effort for tasks, communicate these estimates and meet deadlines in a timely manner.
Design models and transaction flows to analyze system performance and capacity impacts.
Work closely with engineering and product marketing teams on reviewing and understanding functional requirements
Execute automated tests, report and analyze results. Assess and report severity and priority of problems found during validation cycles, by considering all angles of the problem space: customer perception, functionality, usability, performance, etc
Prior experience in high performance/scalable applications is required
This position will require interfacing with Product Management and Development to ensure that the performance methodology accurately Lead the definition and successful implementation of the overall performance benchmarking strategy for all products developed.
Strong experience in database and SQL tuning a plus Strong experience with Oracle database servers required
Experienced in performance analysis using tools such as Load runner, QTP
Able to understand advanced analysis techniques to forecast response times, arrival rates, and scalability sizing information.
Excellent Communication skills (both verbal and written) Experience in Linux

Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
You will be a vital contributor to the overall leadership and direction for setting priorities and establishing a vision for the Automation/PE Team and Automation/PE toolset. Identifying areas for improved testing efficiencies test Automation/PE and implementation of automated test solution will fall within your scope
Create automation scripts for each product, which will help reduce regression and therefore time to market.
Create regression test suites for each application and high-level sanity testing test suites to allow for quicker turnaround upon large and small releases.
Previous experience managing the planning and execution of a test cycle is required as you will be assisting resources with these tasks that will now also include test automation/PE as an additional component.
Significant interaction with internal customers across the organization will be take place. Experience with Test Automation practices, standards and processes are essential. A technical background would prove very beneficial to excelling in the role.
Technical fluency and experience with test automation solutions including support of different technologies(Batch, Client-Server, Web-based) and alternative approaches that will yield efficient and timely results will be necessary
