DESCRIPTION:
Client is looking for an IT Senior Engineer that will be responsible for local area and wide area network design, implementation and testing.
Provide high level network troubleshooting support to operation team and work
closely with customers and vendors. Position requires excellent communication, problem solving and troubleshooting skills. Excellent understanding of data networking concepts and implementation and support mechanisms. Strong
experience in WAN/LAN design with hands on experience in implementation and Production support for Production networks. Recent experience with Cisco products including routers and switches. Understanding of network and routing protocols. Extensive experience of networking technologies such
as Frame Relay, T1/E1, ISDN, ATM, SONET, Switching and Ethernet. Strong experience in network management and tools such as Optivity, Openview or Netview.
TCP/IP, IPX, OSPF, RIPII
FAMILIARITY IN THE FOLLOWING TECHNICAL AREAS IS REQUIRED:
A 4 YEAR DEGREE OR INDUSTRY CERTIFICATION A MUST (IE., CCNA, CCNP, CCIE)
STRONG INTERPERSONAL AND COMMUNICATION SKILLS.
*GENERAL KNOWLEDGE OF LAN/WAN.
*SOLID EXPERIENCE ROUTER AND DSU/CSU CONFIGURATIONS (CISCO AND/OR BAY ROUTERS
AND AT&T PARADYNE DSU/CSU PREFERRED.)
*IP ADDRESSING (CLASSLESS INTER-DOMAIN ROUTING.)
*IP TUNNELING
*IP SUBNETTING.
*DNS (DOMAIN NAME SYSTEM)
*FRAME RELAY
*PRIVATE LINES (T1, T1.5, T4.5)
