This week (and next)

I cannot make it this week. James said he had probable guests this week for general gaming. That means there's a probable quorum, so Josh and Bruce (and anyone else), pack games, though we should confirm the quorum.

I suggest next week for the draft, if it's good for Chris. Are people available? (I ought to be)

Just to make scheduling easier, I suggest a regular biweekly schedule for board gaming, and if we want to schedule fist, we do it in the off-weeks. So, next general gaming would be the 22nd, then the 5th. At least until we get some more regulars, we should still confirm on the mailing list.

Any comments?

I'm still available for general gaming tomorrow. Waiting to hear back from my coworkers about their availability.

Ok, I've put the draft and a repeating gaming event on the calendar.

I also updated the group welcome message and description. The group name and email address are changeable, but I haven’t yet done so. (And changing the email address is problematic.)

Looks like Avram can make it. Sarah may very well make it, but probably
on the late side, as she has a thing.

I seem to be free for that.

That could work.

I've set up a list and domain for the board gaming group, but need to do
a bit more setup -- it should be nyc...@lists.labcats.org and foonyc.org
(which I will want to set up actual content on, but the domain itself is
reserved). The name is decidely generic, but I was deliberately doing a
foo=fu pun for historical reasons.

I don't see a good reason to change mailing lists. Also none too fond of the name, but it's not like I have a better idea.

I can make it tonight, but brought nothing.
Will there be games in hand to play?

Next week I have a birthday party after work on Tuesday.
Doesn;t mean you shouldnt do it then, but if we push it back, I could come.

Also -- while doing a few Fist drafts in the off weeks is fine, the only reason is couldn't be on an ON week is that we have a lot of Non Fist players showing up for general gaming.

we seem to be getting a couple.. so that is good.

It’s about predictable scheduling. It’s easier to attract regular non-Fist players if the schedule is “every two weeks” than if it’s “every two weeks, except when we decide to play fist instead”.

Turns out that my coworkers can't make it tonight, but I still might. How does the headcount look?

I wish that I could make it, but my wife's class trumps my fun time :)

We re-launched our Kickstarter (after we got an angelic investor and we re-scoped the project) and we got 50% of our funding goal within 3 and a half hours!  :)

I've been without much sleep, but it was totally worth it!  I can't wait for you guys to check out the game.  The next time I can get together with you, I'll bring you each a deck!

I've added everyone who was on this list and has been active showing up
to board games to the new list, which is here:

If you want me to add you, feel free to email me, email the list, or
just add yourself and I'll approve it.
