Hi Squalid...and everyone--
Thanks for writing.  Yeah, I read that Roberts only has been a judge for two years.  And they wanna make him an SCJ?  Hmmm.  Just curious.  Think qualifications, ppl.

I have ideas for my movies, just trying to getting the story into a logical sequence is a problem, so I can play around with how it would be shot.  Also, I kind of tend to write a lot of prose, tend to embellish, and give 10 million juicy details like a thick novel on your shelf that won't go away, ie, I tend to be more of a novelist.  I'm still waiting to get my first manuscript back from Africa (don't ask now, long story...but then again, with me everything is a long story).  But the one movie I actually have scenes planned out for, is something I was/am trying to co-write with a friend.  Who is currently moving in with her boyfriend, who's a nice guy but I still have my reservations because, I think cohabitation can be a very real legal risk... that's kind of another long story but whatever.  So she wants me to be cool with it all, and I of course have to be the ever-understanding friend and she just doesn't get it at all that I'm really concerned that it will really jeopardize like, a good relationship and living situation she already has.  But, that's all kind of a sidebar.

Also...sorry this seems to be my perpetual thing, but, I'm back in Chicago again.  I had a total panic attack on a very infamous day of the year, which I won't name, and had to book it back to Chicago.  One sad thing is, I left a lot of my junk back in New York, I was so freaked out--what sucked was, mainly I left a lot of my books.  Some of which were borrowed.  I guess it's stuff I can learn to live without... my CD player, a bunch of nice new unused office supplies...including PENS hahaha...  but you know what, I am so glad that I'm back where I can be closer to nature and get my bearings back.  And if for some reason I really can't go back to grad school, then so be it.  Maybe I really was meant to do writing more, and just get a job, instead of doing so much academia in the Ivory Tower.  I miss New York alot, but I think when I come back maybe next time it will be for leisure and not doing too much "cerebral" stuff.

I was not so much worried as the flight as I was freaked out by the possibility that Feds and undercover ppl were probably crawling LaGuardia, and possibly suspecting ordinary citizens of stuff preemptively.

But then again, I'm just a writer with a real bad case of conspiracy-theory complex.  I wish "Spy Game" would run on TV so that I could plop myself on the couch with my blue turtle fur blankey, in my big fat gray sweater and lime-and-dark-green checkered Garnier Fructis kerchief tied on my head...so I could re-LAX.  We'll see if that really happens.

A todo corazon,
Natalia.
