Next Salon: August 28th | Also: New show off your art rules

Hello salon-goers. We are saloning again this month, this time on the
28th. Same time & place as before. Details for the newbies are below.

New this time around is that we're opening up the opportunity to show
off your visual art and music to everyone involved in the IAF. Even if
you can't make this month's salon, we will show your art on the big
screen and play your music during the event.

Musicians: We'll play your music during the salon and provide everyone
with a list of the musicians and their websites. If you'd like to get
in on this, send me an email and I'll direct you to a DropBox shared
folder. Be sure to upload MP3s only and a text file with your relevant
info.

All Other Artists: If you have images of your art -- be it photos,
pictures, sculptures, jewelry, crafts, whatever -- we will feature it
in a slideshow on the big screen at the cafe. If you'd like to get in
on this, send me an email and I'll direct you to a DropBox shared
folder. Be sure to include identifying information on the image
itself, such as your name.

All art and music must be in the DropBox by Monday, August 27th, to be
included this month.

~Where & When?

The Vagabond Café @ 7 Cornelia Street, Tuesday August 28, 7pm to 9pm -
feel free to arrive at any time.

IAF members will wear Host badges, so if you have any questions about
the salon or the organization or you just need someone to safely begin
a conversation with, you can find us easily.

~Should I Bring Anything?

Calling cards, business cards, postcards, CDs or other things you can
hand people to remind them that they met you.

Please bring examples of your artistic endeavors including portfolios,
printed material, and digital show and tell.

~What If I Can't Make It This Time?

No worries! We'll be hosting a salon every month on the 4th Tuesday,
usually at Vagabond.
