Regarding a project in time for IO, Yes, if there's enough interest we
can tackle one. Just note that like last year, there will be an Google
IO scheduler app with some more features from what I hear. Here's the
one from last year: http://code.google.com/p/googleio2009 There will
also be a scavenger hunt game (using QR bar codes).
Yes ideally we would have an app engine component and with Robert's
lead (nudge ;-) ) it would be in Python and I could lead the
Android/Java client part. Perhaps have a coding session at the next
meetup which as a reminder is in 2 weeks. Feel free to discuss a
possible ideas that is preferably useful to or related to Google IO
and simple enough to complete in time.
The idea I proposed at the last meeting, as a general project idea,
not for Google IO, for those who weren't at the last meeting, was to
create an app engine app (and possible marketplace app) that would
aggregate stats for apps from the Android market, providing feeds
(buzz, twitter etc) for developers to track their apps.
