I received this today from my contacts at State DOT and thought it
might be of interest to this group. I believe you have to fill out a
short registration form on the 511 website to access their data. It
only takes a few minutes.

Best,

Dani

511NY Data Users:

I am writing to let you know that TRANSCOM is now making available XML
feeds (beta) that provide real-time event and link data for the 29
counties in New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut that comprise the
TRANSCOM coverage area.

Information about the TRANSCOM data feeds is available by visiting the
511NY Developer Resource Area web page at:

http://www.511ny.org/developer.aspx

and scrolling down to the “511NY Information Partners” area, where you
will find a link to the TRANSCOM Data Access Wiki page. At the Wiki
page you will be able to learn more about TRANSCOM’s data feeds,
including how to register with TRANSCOM for access to their feeds.

Please note that your registration with 511NY does not provide you
with access to the TRANSCOM data feeds; a separate registration with
TRANSCOM is required.

I hope you find this information about the availability of the
TRANSCOM data feeds useful. Please let me know if there are any
questions - thanks!
