Greetings!
We are excited to announce our fall cohort for the Master Composter Certificate program, and are hoping you could share the attached flyer and information with your networks.
The Master Composter Certificate Course is a free program that empowers New Yorkers to get involved in community composting through education, outreach, and advocacy.
Workshops will be held Tuesday evenings from 6:00pm-8:30pm at the Center for Wellbeing & Happiness. There will also be a full-day Saturday intensive (9:00am-4:30pm) at Earth Matter on Governor’s Island.
To become a certified Master Composter, 7 workshops, 2 field trips and 9 service hours must be completed. This cohort includes 7 workshops and a field trip. You’ll still need to complete 9 service hours and one additional field trip on your own to become certified.

We’ll offer all seven workshops again virtually in 2026. There will also be limited spots to join select fall cohort sessions. Partner organizations may also have other offerings.
Cohort registration will open on September 2nd at this link. If you do not have a Regpack account, you will need to create one to register. Registration ends on September 23.
