Howdy-Do Folks,
On yesterday 4/2 I visited the Sanitation Foundation offices to pick up some new tools, a table, wagon, first aid kit, hand sanitizer, because ....

We are excited to share that we are joining forces with the Sanitation Foundation to help clean up the city this Spring!

Spring Cleaning is when we take the time to clean the places we love the most. Join us to be a part of the NYC Big Spring Clean - a spectacular month of cleanups and activities throughout the five boroughs in commemoration of Earth Month.

Learn more about the NYC Big Spring Clean here and be sure to sign up to join The Groundskeeper Club's clean up here: https://sanitationfoundation.galaxydigital.com/need/detail/?need_id=924980. When New Yorkers get together, great things happen. We’re looking forward to cleaning up our neighborhood together!

Shout-out to Jessica (I started thinking of Laguna Beach, did you?) who brought the wagon down and offered to fold it up if it was too cumbersome. She's also the one who was kind enough to take my photo in their lobby.

I was grateful for how compact they got everything to be - I was already psyching myself up to walk home (in the rain) with a huge ol' folding table and giant ass wagon (woulda made for some nice Brooklyn Bridge photos). Thankfully though, I was able to hop right back onto the 2 train. /bless//prayer-hands:skin-tone:chocothunder/

The clean-up volunteers and club members are getting an extra special treat this time around because the tool grant included food-moolah. So what we eating? Pizza? Chinese? Vegan? Italian? Halal Truck? I know whatever we choose, we'll be eating good on that day.

I also know winning the grant and hosting this clean-up in partnership with The Foundation means no to 4/20 leftovers being eaten at this event.
Take care of trees, blaze trees, yard man things (on my personal and private outside of work time that is).

Attached are the promo fliers, one I've been recycling and the other from the media kit given to grant winners.

The bonus photo is a tree pit across the street from me - those are daffodils shared with me from someone (Nadege) who got the bulbs from the Daffodil Project last year. I planted them on 1/1 (I remember because I didn't want to stay indoors on New Years Day and had been going around the block cleaning and planting - a good luck wish and omen for 2024.)

The fruits are starting to show up.
---

Have a great night, and rest of the week ahead. Looking forward to seeing yall on Sun 4/21 (no blaze).

PS. It's on BCC because when I really wanna advertise, I put it out in a wholeeeeee bunch of channels. If this were IRC I'd probably have my ip address flagged as a spam bot.
