Hello NYC Community Composters,
We, at Big Reuse, are organizing a phone banking effort every Thursday in June to advocate for continued funding for the NYC Compost Network (all 13 organizations) before our funding ends on June 30th!
We would greatly appreciate it if you participate and share this information with your networks!
Here is the information:
CALL YOUR REPS: Community Compost Days of Action: Every Thursday in June
WHY?
The funding for the NYC Compost Network ends on June 30th - please participate in our last push before funding ends!!
We ask that you take a few minutes out of your day on Thursdays in June to ask Council Members to continue to fund the NYC Community Compost Network.
WHEN?
Every Thursday in June! June 11th, 18th, and 24th
Anytime! You can also sign up to make calls on other dates.

How?
1. MAKE CALLS!
Sign up here for a date or multiple dates. The more you call, the greater the impact!
You can still make a call after work hours, you will be able to leave them a voicemail.
After your action, please provide some basic information on your call. We want to be able to use the number of completes calls to show the depth of support for community composting!

2. SIGN THE PETITIONS
Add your signature to our petition here, as well as the broader Save Our Compost Coalition's petition here.
If you are a part of a community group that benefits from community compost, please consider filling out our organization sign-on letter.
3. SHARE!
Send the call-in instructions and program information to your family members, friends, and colleagues who can help us make a difference. Shareable links for the call-in day with instructions, phone numbers, flyers you can print, and a sample script are available here.
In addition, spread the word about Big Reuse and the NYC Community Compost Network by resharing our flyer or posting your own community composting photos and tagging City Council on social media.
