🌍 Enroll into Free 6-Week Soil Stewards WNY Course

The Soil Stewards Program is a free, 6-week course that will help you reduce food waste, improve soil health, and make a lasting impact in our Western New York community. This course is co-facilitated by partners Firsthand Learning Inc., Buffalo Worm Works, and WeRadiate.

The program is divided into four modules and two hands-on workshops

Module A: Food Waste Prevention Strategies (Thursday, March 27: 5:30 - 7:30 PM EST)
Module B: Composting Basics & Soil Health Improvement (Thursday, April 3: 5:30 - 7:30 PM)
WORMshop 1: Saturday, April 12 Afternoon
Module C: Community Composting & Capstone Project (Thursday, April 17: 5:30 - 7:30 PM)
Module D: Landfill Diversion Practices (Thursday, April 24: 5:30 - 7:30 PM)
Workshop 2: TBD (** Saturday, April 26 or May 3: Workshop 2 @ TriMain )

Participants 18 and older from Erie County (NY) and the City of Buffalo are welcome to apply. Applications close March 25, 2025.

Funding provided by the NYS Pollution Prevention Institute through a grant from the Environmental Protection Fund as administered by the NYSDEC.
