Description
The US Composting Council is a national organization serving the commercial compost industry since 1990. We are searching for an individual with passion for our customers, the environment, and data programs that are mission- and metric-driven, cost-effective with organizational impact, and serve as the keystone for good decisions in our organization.
We are looking for a candidate to be responsible for developing and maintaining USCC’s data and program platforms, prioritizing accuracy, security and usefulness. Your impact on the rest of our team’s success will be substantial.
We will need an energetic, team-oriented person to proactively manage our data assets to deliver on our mission of providing programs to our industry and membership. Areas of Focus:
- Collaborating with program managers and staff leadership to identify new database needs for member/customer transactions, industry data, and organizational metrics.
- Oversight of maintenance activities performed by the team members on USCC databases
- Partnering with our administrative assistant and team to develop efficient systems for Inputting, cleaning and extracting data in our databases on a regular, systematic basis
- Maintaining an up-to-date knowledge of types of database management systems and cybersecurity tactics
- Granting access to certain employees to use company databases to complete their job duties
- Completing routine backup activities to ensure the safety of important company data
- Recommending and Implementing cybersecurity measures to prevent hackers or unauthorized individuals from accessing important company data and overseeing data privacy compliance
- Managing registration products and process flows (including onsite for conference) for transactions for events, webinars, online store, membership, certification and Seal of Testing Assurance program. This includes building of test versions and bug testing.
Requirements:
- Direct experience with YourMembership, Freestone LMS, and/or other Association Management System (AMS)
- College graduate; relevant experience will also be considered in lieu of college graduate certificate
- Experience in report/dashboard/data
- Experience in association management/using an Association Management System
- Strong familiarity with online database management.
- Good command of English; excellent written and oral communication skills
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office Word and Excel
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to concentrate for lengthy periods and perform accurately with adequate speed
- Proficient touch-typing skills
- Strong analytical problem-solving skills
Preferred:
- Proficiency in structured query language
- In-depth knowledge of database technologies
- Ability to troubleshoot software and hardware issues
- Advanced analytical organizational skills and attention to detail
