LESEC Master Composter Summer Cohort

Greetings!

We are excited to announce our summer cohort for the Master Composter Certificate program, and are hoping you could share the attached flyer and information with your networks.

To become a certified Master Composter, 7 workshops, 2 field trips and 9 service hours must be completed. This cohort includes 7 workshops and 2 field trips. You’ll still need to complete 9 service hours on your own to become certified.

• July 28: Intro to Composting

• August 4: Compost Systems, Tools, and Scales

• August 11: Soil Health and Soil Science

• August 18: Caring for Soils 

• August 25: Compost Advocacy & Community Building

Field Trip | Saturday, July 25, 10:00 AM- 12:00 PM

East Side Outside Garden | 415 East 11th Street between 1st Avenue & Avenue A

Workshop + Field Trip | Saturday, August 8, 10:00 AM- 1:00 PM

• Designing and Managing Community Compost Spaces

• Frank White Memorial Garden Field Trip

• Plus optional volunteer hours!

Priority for this cohort will be given to those who can attend all scheduled session dates. Cohort registration will open on Friday, June 26 at this link [look for it under “Workshop Cohort”]. If you do not have a Regpack account, you will need to create one to register. Registration ends on Friday, July 10 at 10am.
