Details:
(1) Clinical Protocol Development
We need a dedicated pool of individuals with advanced medical

time commitment: 3 hours per week over the next several months
Email Duncan dsr.maru(AT)nyayahealth.org

See http://nyayahealth.pbwiki.com/InformationTechnology for more details.
Email sanjay.basu(AT)yale.edu
(4) Clinic Energy Research
We are looking for someone to research options for energy generation
options, specifications, and grants (sanj and rina, are you applying
for grants on this?). Currently, we have a 3.7 kW petrol generator
but in the long-term will need to make decisions regarding a diesel
generator, solar, wind, and hydro power. See
http://nyayahealth.pbwiki.com/Energy+Issues
You do not need a background in this to work on it, only an interest
and dedication to see this particular aspect through.
time commitment: at least 3 hours per week over the next several months.

performing research on how we can incorporate anti-human trafficking
interventions into our clinical activities.
time commitment: 3 hours per week over the next several months
Email Anup Patel: cor(AT)centsofrelief.org
(6) Microcredit Working Group
We need to build up an organizational knowledgebase on this issue,
because it will definitely be a path we will go down eventually. We
need someone to perform research on the topic and write a highly
annotated brief, with links, contacts, and action lists, that can
provide the next crew of Nepal-based volunteers to start the process
of investigating microcredit possibilities.
time commitment: 3 hours per week over the next several months. Email
Duncan dsr.maru(AT)nyayahealth.org
(7) Malnutrition Working Group
We need to build up an organizational knowledgebase on this issue,
because it will definitely be a path we will go down eventually. We
need someone to perform research on the topic and write a highly
annotated brief, with links, contacts, and action lists, that can
provide the next crew of Nepal-based volunteers to start the process
of addressing
both chronic and acute malnutrition.
time commitment: 3 hours per week over the next several months. Email

(8) Healthcare Financing Working Group
We are putting together a working group to explore options for local
financing of clinical services.
See (and edit/contribute) :
http://nyayahealth.pbwiki.com/Health+Services+Financing
please email Duncan dsr.maru(AT)nyayahealth.org
(9) P2P Funding of Emergency Cases
This project is related to the healthcare financing working group, but
requires significant programming experience. Basically we would like
to set up a P2P network similar to kiva.org but one that targets
specific patients with particular needs. In the latter sense, it
would also have similarities with donorschoose.org. This would
hopefully lay the groundwork for a more interesting economic model to
use P2P to contribute to a community-based health insurance or other
financing scheme. Again, see
http://nyayahealth.pbwiki.com/Health+Services+Financing
time commitment: difficult to estimate, at this point we need a leader
who wants to take this on as a major project.
please email Duncan dsr.maru(AT)nyayahealth.org
(10) YouTube Ad Campaign:
We need help brainstorming and soliciting companies to make an add
along the lines of http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wn3s2j33oEY
We are working with folks from centsofrelief.org and infantesano.org
on this. If you have any interest or experience in marketing, film,
or IT, please email andrew andrew.chang(AT)yale.edu
time commitment: at least 2 hours per week over the next several months.
also see: http://nyayahealth.pbwiki.com/Fundraising and Youtube Campaign
(11) Integrating wiki/blog/google groups/website:
We need help brainstorming how to best professionalize and integrate
all our various web presences, including our website, wiki, blog,
email, and google groups. This is particularly relevant to the
upcoming google grants campaign, in which a major selling point will
be our transparency and openness. If you have significant experience
in the website design or wikis, or are otherwise a good programmer,
Please email Duncan dsr.maru(AT)nyayahealth.org
time commitment: at least 3 hours per week over the next several months.
(12) PHP/MySQL Programmer for EquityEdit
We are looking someone comfortable with PHP/MySQL to program an editor
database for EquityEdit.
time commitment: this is a self-limited project, time dependent upon
experience level of the programmer.
Please email Duncan editor(AT)equityedit.org
(13) Google Apps Manager
For both equityedit.org and nyayahealth.org, we have Education Edition
google apps accounts.
We are looking for someone to expand the utility of these, working to
improve calendar, mail, and document
management. The goal would be to use this to improve transparency and
efficiency.
time commitment: this is a self-limited project, time dependent upon
experience level of the programmer.
please email Duncan dsr.maru(AT)nyayahealth.org.
(14) Nyaya Online Fundraising Manager
Someone to manage and expand our freepledge, igive, amazon, cafepress,
wireless fundraiser, changingthepresent.org, etc. accounts.
time commitment: 3 hours per week over the next several months
please email Duncan dsr.maru(AT)nyayahealth.org
(15) Improving existing social networking sites
We currently are on several social networking sites, but all are in
serious need of a system for updating and maintenance:
http://nyayahealth.pbwiki.com/Nyaya+on+the+web
This position does not require programming experience, only an
interest in using social networking tools to further our mission.
time commitment: 2 hours per week over the next several months.
please email Duncan dsr.maru(AT)nyayahealth.org
(16) RSS feeds to wiki
Anyone please add RSS feeds relevant to nepal, public health, south
asia, and social justice somewhere on the wiki or website.
Thanks! If questions, please email Duncan dsr.maru(AT)nyayahealth.org
(17) EquityEdit Finance Manager
We need someone to act as a liason between ProEdit Japan and Nyaya
Health for www.equityedit.org. This will primarily involve ongoing
negotiations with PEJ
regarding how to best structure our relationship given that we now
have significant advertising potential through our google grants
award. You should have an interest in marketing, grantwriting,
publishing, or contract
negotiations.
time commitment: 3 hours per week over the next several months
Please email Duncan editor(AT)equityedit.org
(18) Google AdWords Campaign Manager: English
You would manage the ad campaigns for Nyaya Health and EquityEdit,
monitor performance, and make changes in strategic direction.
time commitment: 3 hours per week over the next several months. You
must be VERY reliable and dedicated in this position as there are
significant risks to not being timely in this project. Email Duncan
dsr.maru(AT)nyayahealth.org
(19) Google Adwords Campaign Manager: Japanese

monitor performance, and make changes in strategic direction.

significant risks to not being timely in this project. Email Duncan

(20) EquityEdit Translator: Japanese
You would translate website documents targeting our Japanese clients
for EquityEdit.
You must have the fluency in written Japanese of a native speaker.
