Nyaya Health Update - First Quarter 2008

Achham is busy seeing patients thanks to your support and
contributions.

The document details our efforts to redistribute resources to Far
Western Nepal, ensure local ownership over healthcare services,
involve the central government in the provision of long-term primary
care, and achieve transparency in our operations. The update also
features a typical day in the clinic, profiles of our staff, and our
efforts to sustain high-quality services to the people of Achham.
Over the next few months, we plan to expand our services by renovating
the long-abandoned government hospital in the neighboring village;
expanding ultrasound, blood transfusion, X-ray and laboratory
services; and establishing general inpatient capacity to complement
our current 24-hour maternity services.
