Starting with Prism 8, Windows and Mac versions of GraphPad programs have three digits - MAJOR.MINOR.PATCH (e.g. 8.2.0) and only use numbers. Each version incorporates a Build number (e.g. 435) which is different across platforms. Earlier versions of GraphPad programs have two digits after the decimal place, for example Prism 6.02. Mac versions have a digit and letter after the decimal point, for example InStat 3.0b.

Updating Prism Mac 5.0a, 5.0b, 5.0c, or 5.0d to 5.0f (especially for people using Lion or Mountain Lion)
Download and install this updater. If you have any trouble getting the update to work, these tips might help. Alternatively, email sup...@graphpad.com requesting a link to a full installer. It is essential that you include your serial number with this request.
If you are using a network license...
When run using a network license, Prism is installed on a single shared hard drive (server). Therefore the update only has to be installed once, on that shared drive. This cannot be done while anyone is using Prism. To check, look in the licenses folder within the Prism program folder and make sure there are no files with an .lic extension. The presence of these files demonstrate that someone is using Prism.
Every version of Prism can open files created by earlier versions. The only exceptions were that Pris 4.0a and 4.0b (mac) and 4.00 and 4.01 (WIndows) could not open files created by Prism 1 (fixed in Prism 4.0c and 4.02).
In general, older versions of Prism (version 4 and later) can open files made with newer versions. But it all depends on what features you used in the newer version that weren't in the older version. If your file has tables with more columns or subcolumns than the older version can handle, those tables will be empty when you open the file. If the file contains analyses that the older version can't perform, they will be frozen. If you use formatting choices that the older version doesn't recognize, usually Prism will do something sensible (like changing a pie chart into a bar chart, changing semi-transparent colors into solid colors)...
When you open a Prism file on a version different than the version it was created on, results also may appear on different rows of the results tables. This means that results tables embedded on graphs may no longer show the results you care about, and scripts may export the wrong values. You may have to do a bit of clean up to make the files work as intended.
On Windows (but not Mac), when you paste a Prism graph or layout within Word or PowerPoint (or some other programs), you can paste just a picture, paste a link, or embed a Prism object. If you paste a link or embed an object, you can then double click on that image to edit within Prism. This works only if the correct version of Prism (or the free Viewer) is installed. If a Prism 5 object is embedded within a Word document, for example, double-clicking to edit that object will only work if Prism 5 (or later) is installed on that computer. Double-clicking on a Prism 4 object will open Prism 4 if it is present on that computer, or Prism 5 or 6 if Prism 4 is not present.
GraphPad Prism (version 10) is available to the Washington University community for an annual license price of $25 per computer, Mac or PC (Prism 10 system requirements). The Prism license year runs from September to September, with licenses renewing automatically. License costs cannot be prorated.

Important note for users updating from 7.04: There is a known issue that makes the updating process from 7.04 to 7.05 slightly more complicated. Please follow these instructions to update from 7.04 to 7.05.
While running Prism 7.0a/7.0b/7.0c/7.0d, drop the Help menu and choose Check For Updates. If you have any trouble getting the update to work, please email sup...@graphpad.com requesting a link to a full installer. It is essential that you include your serial number with this request.
You will need to include the prism.css and prism.js files you downloaded in your page. Example:......Prism does its best to encourage good authoring practices. Therefore, it only works with elements, since marking up code without a element is semantically invalid.According to the HTML5 spec, the recommended way to define a code language is a language-xxxx class, which is what Prism uses.Alternatively, Prism also supports a shorter version: lang-xxxx.
To make things easier however, Prism assumes that the language class is inherited. Therefore, if multiple elements have the same language, you can add the language-xxxx class on one of their common ancestors. This way, you can also define a document-wide default language, by adding a language-xxxx class on the or element.
If you want to opt-out of highlighting a element that inherits its language, you can add the language-none class to it. The none language can also be inherited to disable highlighting for the element with the class and all of its descendants.
If you want to prevent any elements from being automatically highlighted and instead use the API, you can set Prism.manual to true before the DOMContentLoaded event is fired. By setting the data-manual attribute on the element containing Prism core, this will be done automatically.Example:
To make it easy to configure your Prism instance with only the languages and plugins you need, use the babel plugin,babel-plugin-prismjs. This will allow you to loadthe minimum number of languages and plugins to satisfy your needs.See that plugin's documentation for configuration details.
If you want to use Prism on the server or through the command line, Prism can be used with Node.js as well. This might be useful if you're trying to generate static HTML pages with highlighted code for environments that don't support browser-side JS, like AMP pages.
Requiring prismjs will load the default languages: markup, css, clike and javascript. You can load more languages with theloadLanguages() utility, which will automatically handle any required dependencies.
Hi I am using Affinity Designer (new version) on a MacBook Pro Sonoma 14.5. Previously when adding a graph from Graphpad prism the text would transfer at the right size. Now the text is all wrong- way too bit and has to be manually adjusted. I don't understand why this has happened - never an issue with the old version.
Hello I am facing a similar issue. I used to be able to copy and paste a graph directly from GraphPad Prism into an Artboard in Affinity Designer (Right click on the graph in Prism, Copy Graph, Paste in AD), and it would paste exactly as it was and I could work on it from there. However, now when I paste onto an Artboard, the text sizes and/or placement appear to be messed up. Attached are pictures of the original graph and how it normally look when pasted to AD versus what it is pasting as now. This issue just started after I updated to the new version yesterday. I am using Affinity Designer 2 2.5.0 on iMac. A fix to this bug or any help would be really appreciated!
Thanks - much appreciate the tip. It works (and will use it when I start a new document ... unfortunately I'm halfway through one and changing the resolution now means I have to change all the native (non-pasted) text I already have there but at least I have a cure for the next document!)
Check with a copy of your document but you should still be able to change the document dpi to 72 without affecting the native (non-pasted) text, paste your ChemDraw chemical structure graphics and then change the document dpi back to 300 dpi...
In doing so you may find that it looks as though some of the text vanishes (another 2.5.0 bug), but simply selecting and moving the text frame either on the page or on the Master page will resolve that...
Version 9 online documentation is part of the installation. This documentation is essentially all SAS manuals in Windows Help format. Printed manuals are available separately and may be ordered through the University store or directly from SAS Institute, Inc.
