PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE HELP ME !!! i've removed all my essential graphics and re-edited again and again and created a new sequence over and over and im met with the same issue. could someone please help me before tuesday
I am exporting directly from Premiere, not via AME. I have used some mogarts but I have made sure all the fonts are there and synced. I keep getting an error half way through the export stating "a font that is required has changed restart the export."
I have tried a few fonts, Algerian, Arial, I have made sure they are authorized and I keep getting this error. The first time it exported ok, and ever since, all exports fail with this error. I cant go through AME.
Same here in 2024, 1.5 hour export in 4k only to stall uploading and stuck, press Cancel thinking it at least made the media file as requested, Nope! Font changed blah blah. Why couldn't I get this message the start?? Overpriced bloated video editor is what this is, and I have to pay monthly for another year? Done
It happens when I open or close another Adobe program while exporting. People are reporting this and two months and 3 updates later it is still doing this. Seriously, Adobe?! I was almost done with a render when I closed Adobe Illustrator, then Premiere gave me this font-related crash on a video with no text in it!
This also happened to me during Premiere Pro export - also after closing other Adobe Illustrator (and After Effects) during the export. Useful to know what it is that is causing it as I lost about 30 mins of export time and have to do it again!
Great observation on your part, and that appears to be the cause in my case too. I closed Illustrator after I started the export my from Premiere and got the message. Tried the export again, and it finished with no problem.
And the only font that's even in the project is the one that default loaded in the caption graphics. and reading through this thread it looks like Adobe has nothing to say on the matter. Starting to wish I had spent the last year learning any other video editing software instead of yelling at Premiere lol. my roommates must think I have anger issues.
Formerly called Typekit, Adobe Fonts is a library featuring more than 14,000 free fonts at your disposal across many Adobe apps. Browse the collection to find preset fonts that match the mood of your clip.
Customised fonts are an easy way to add a measure of distinctiveness to your work. Scour the Internet for less-common fonts that are hard to replicate. Suppose your piece is a documentary. Instead of using common sans serifs like Arial or Helvetica, try adding a warm, pleasant typeface like Merriweather for a unique look.
Every time I try to export my videos in Media Encoder they fail and the only reason I get is that I am missing the font Bebas Neue, which I have activated and am not even using in the projects. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the font, restarting my computer each time. My Adobe Premiere and Media Encoder are both completely up to date. How do I get my videos to export?
Hmm...usually when I get messages about missing fonts, even if I'm not using that font, Premiere Pro and Media Encoder still export fine with a warning message. But in your case, it's not exporting at all? Do you have any After Effects projects imported via Dynamic Link or anything that might be linked to that project that has Bebas Neue font in it?
I have checked through everything imported and linked to the project three times and no sign of the font anywhere. And I did get the warning message but when I tried to export it failed. Have gone through all of my texts three times and no sign of Bebas Neue anywhere.
Hi, I too keep having constant and annoying issues over exporting due to missing fonts, even though I have the font and/or didn't use it. My video will export for a while and then partly through tell me I have to re-start due to a font I am not even using. I consider this a bug since it such an annoying time waster without any real path to resolving it effectively.
The only thing I can think of suggesting is since sometimes we make nests or initial graphics using default fonts and then change it later on, maybe somewhere in your bins an element is referencing that. The only solution I can see to that is using Project Manager to copy and collect the project to a folder, where you only selected the sequence you care about (and any internal nests). That way, at least you are sure to be only dealing with the material you are using, not something in one of your bins you are not using. Just an idea, anyway.
In "Graphics and Titles" I used "Replace Fonts in Projects" and substituted the "Bebas" and the "SourceSansPro Bold" fonts by "Hobo Std Medium" -- which works fine -- and still got the crach while exporting.
I've been having the same issues. I've been reinstalling the font, it works fine inside premiere, but the varning appears in media encoder. Even after i've replaced the font in the project, and it's not used any more, the varning inside encoder reapears on every export.
Exact same problem here. Using dynamic linking in Premiere Pro from After Effects. No missing fonts in AE, no missing fonts in Premiere. Yet on export I'm getting a pop up warning about missing fonts (that are not even present in any of the projects) and the export fails near the end.
Probably the most annoying thing to me when working with Premiere and/or Media Encoder is this relentlessly annoying font replaced/font missing warnings and holdups. If my sequence plays fine and there are no probles I would expect the software to export it without worrying about possible font issues that don't affect playback on the timeline ...
Just hit this issue after a update yesterday for all the apps ! silly me - 16/7/2023 still an issue removed the fonts - reinstalled through the cloud app - shows installed but will the encoder work - nope still gives a warning not installed - sequence exports but not the full file - just 40mins of the full 1 hour! exporting directly now see what happens
SOLVED!!!! After reading all of the threads online, I Found nothing that worked! BUT!!!! There is a solution, When I went into creative cloud it showed that BEBAS NEUE Was activated along with the family of fonts. BUT when I went into the bebas neue font it and scrolled down there were 3 fonts in that family (under details) that were still deactivated as I have not used them in a long time. I turned each of them back on, and it finally exported without a warning! Hope this helps! I will attach a picture to show
thanks for posting your solution. Although I get the missing font message when I load a couple of projects, I never have a problem exporting the sequence cause I'm guessing I'm not using that font in the sequence. When I did get the error message that prevented me from exporting, I remember that I was usually solved by switching from directly exporting from premiere to queueing to media encorder or vice versa... can't remember which. Not a good sign. sucks getting old
I am using a template I paid for, but the I am missing the font. When I open the file I receive a Resolve Fonts error window with some info and the message, "Unresolvable (Will be substituted with default font)". (see screenshot)
I'd like to be able to decide which font is substituted in. It doesn't even tell me which font is the defualt font that it will use in it's place. How do I know what font it is using and how do I change it to a font I want? Ideally, I'd like to be able to use any similiar font of my choice and/or be able to change whatever the default font in Premiere Pro is.
This is not the font it was changing my text to. Adventure font is very noticeable. The default font it has been using is something else. I changed it to the one I want and my original issue has not been resolved
I have a similar issue with a payed version of the Sentinel Font which is standard in visual concept of my company. The strange thing is that most of the time, the font appears, but every now and then I get the same error message as you and it replaces the fonts, when I go back to projects, which is a nightmare. It is inconsistent and should be resolved.
It isn't there anymore and I can't change it? There is no way for me to lower opacity the slider is gone! I am so frustrated with being told it works fine! Yeah it works fine if you want a completely opaque line blocking out your artwork you spend hours designing! There were two sliders where the boxes I added above are and they are gone since last time I worked in P.pro
Pick either the original (to change the one that is in your sequence) in the project panel. Right Click -> Modify -> Captions -> Open Captions and set the frame size, framerate/drop non drop, and PAR.
In 2017, for Open Captions, there is an opacity slider for background and Edge Color, and none for text color. There is a drop down for font type, and sliders for size and edge size. And these are the same for 2018.
I had an issue with changing size or anything else of imported SRT subtitles. The decision is to open SRT in Subtitle Edit and just resave it or save with another name. Now open in Premiere and voila! It works as it supposed to be.
Sallyjane, I doubt it is related to your problem, but in my test today on open captions, I noticed something I had not noticed before. If I open an open caption .srt in the source monitor before adding to a timeline, I can make edits in the captions panel, but those edits do not appear in the source monitor nor in the program monitor once the captions are added to a timeline.
