URGENT - 5G is a powerful microwave RF EMF generator - powerful enough to be used for surveillance (monitoring appliance usage, determining when residents are “at home”), and can deliver powerful invisible radiation (electro-magnetic) fields that can be absorbed by the bodies of people. wildlife, arthropods (insects), birds… your pets and even foilage, adversely. We don’t need 5G and the risks associated with it. PLEASE make that call to help stop this - or our world is going to be soon very different...

Activists backed down in California - now NYS and Cuomo have to face the educated public’s uprising.

Many are predicting wifi RF EMF as the next “asbestos”, “lead”, “thalidimide”, or any of the other products or technologies the public was guaranteed by some corrput industry as “SAFE” - which proved to be so wrong, and in the case of 5G, we must stand up and say “NO!” Don’t count on the FCC to protect the public - they have set absorption limits 10000 times higher than other nations - including Spain, UK and Italy - are our bodies any different than Europeans’?

PLEASE Call Cuomo and tell him NOT TO CHANGE HOME RULE which would allow these small cell towers every 6-8 houses, on every street in NYS - WITHOUT MUNICIPAL REVIEW!

Governor Cuomo's 2018 budget would change the General Municipal Law by illegally gutting home rule to force 5G cell towers onto utility poles without review.

In 1999, I worked with Senator Larkin to stop industry-sponsored legislation to force a uniform cell tower siting bill that would have gutted home rule.

Now, Cuomo's budget would allow 5G cell towers on utility poles outside peoples' houses on people's houses and gut local zoning/planning. Towns and cities would not be able to control their siting and would be forbidden from taking a fee where they find it appropriate to site these transmitters.

The equivalent to what is in the NY budget was vetoed by Governor Brown in CA a few months ago after a coordinated campaign of municipal associations, advocates and doctors said that local planning and zoning review must be retained over 5G siting. The industry has tried to get the FCC to gut local zoning in Docket # 16-421, but municipal associations around the country, doctors and advocates have fought it.

Furthermore, the radiation from these 5G towers would be even higher (due to proximity) and more dangerous (due to frequencies) than the ones from 19 years ago that Senator Larkin and I were able to stop from being forced up without zoning and planning review.

5G constitutes a public health emergency- there was a conference co-sponsored by NIEHS (the US National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences) this year that indicates that 5G is extremely dangerous-- the radiation is higher due to proximity of these so-called small cells and the frequencies disrupt human sweat enzymes and unzip DNA:

The bottom line is-

IF CALIFORNIA JUST SHOT THE INDUSTRY DOWN AND THE FCC JUST SHOT THE INDUSTRY DOWN,AND THE FCC WON'T LET THE INDUSTRY GUT LOCAL ZONING

WHY IS NEW YORK ENTERTAINING ALLOWING THE INDUSTRY TO SNEAK THROUGH THIS POWER GRAB HERE, ESPECIALLY WHEN SCIENTISTS ARE CALLING FOR A MORATORIUM?

Other organizations in NY that share my viewpoint that the language gutting home rule should be removed from the budget include NYSUMA, Grassroots Environmental Education, Wide Angle Health, SSMNY, SSMWNY and Protect Orange County, and the Association of Towns.

There are approximately two weeks to call assemblymen, senators and Gov Cuomo to say "take the illegal language changing the general municipal law to gut zoning and planning out of the budget".

If this passes, when you find out there is a plan for a cell tower to go on a utility pole in front of your home, you will have no legal recourse. The next few weeks are the only time to stop this.
