Overview Overview of the business area Current/future projects Broad objectives of the role COBAM s objective is to provide Global Banking and Markets with a single, global on-boarding and account maintenance service that uses service company operating principles and a consistent service proposition to deliver high-quality client service, robust client diligence, and process excellence and standardisation across each on-boarding function from one integrated global team - services include: KYC due diligence and client identification validation Welcome pack communications Client document negotiation Credit analysis and application preparation Account opening and maintenance, including Standard Settlement Instructions (SSIs) The KYC Delivery Lead Americas will oversee Americas region Delivery related activity as it pertains to the strategy, planning and rollout of the KYC Service. This includes partnering closely with the RTB functions to deliver the organisation, processes and technology required to set-up and run the service. Purpose of the Role The KYC Delivery Lead Americas will oversee Americas region Delivery related activity as it pertains to the strategy, planning and rollout of the KYC Service. This includes partnering closely with the RTB functions to deliver the organisation, processes and technology required to set-up and run the service. Responsibilities will include: Creation and management of the Delivery team to support the set-up and rollout of the KYC service and on-going support in Americas region Identification of the various process, organisation, data and technology requirements for the KYC Service Liaison with various internal and external stakeholders who have input into or will be impacted by the KYC service design On-time and efficient execution against the various service requirements identified definition of business requirements, creation of functional specifications, technology build, testing, stakeholder management, communication, training and rollout Identification and communication of the business impact that will occur through Delivery Close partnership and liaison with the core COBAM Delivery and IT teams to ensure synergy s are leveraged and avoidance of conflict On-going tracking and management of the delivery financials and forecast Ensure establishment of an appropriate delivery governance process and act as the primary point of contact for the program stakeholders and sponsors Ensure sponsors receive the right information at the right time regarding delivery of the program Establish a quality assurance and review process for service delivery Maintain Internal Control standards, including the timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators. Be aware of the Operational Risk scenario associated with your role and act in a manner that takes account of operational risk considerations. Control Understand, follow and demonstrate compliance with all relevant internal and external rules, regulations and procedures that apply to the conduct of the business in which you are involved, specifically Internal Controls and any Compliance policy including, inter alia, the Group Compliance policy. Maintain Internal Control standards, including the timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators. Be aware of the Operational Risk scenario associated with your role and act in a manner that takes account of operational risk considerations. Major Challenges Part of a global, x-lob, x-product transformation initiative (largest the group has ever undertaken) Programme profile and hard, regulatory deadlines Syndication and approval process on key deliverables across different businesses and products areas (Fragmented governance model) Working in matrix environment Liaison with Group Compliance, Legal and Risk effectively and efficiently Essential Experience Business Practical experience of leading Business Process Re-engineering (Six Sigma BlackBelt) Proven Delivery experience (global programs, matrix environment, regulatory pressures, major transformation initiatives) Experience in risk management field, and proven ability to support the development of the business activities while robustly applying risk management disciplines and controls Extensive experience in the Finance and Banking industry environment (e.g, fund administrator, brokerage house, custodian, investment bank etc.) together with business project management experience Good knowledge of regulatory trends and developments Technical Has significant experience in delivering large, global, complex Delivery programs with multiple activity streams Previous experience in delivering process and technology related Delivery globally Previous experience of communicating with senior executives and presenting at executive steering committees Extensive experience of people management Proven experience in identifying and managing the risks, issues and dependencies related to complex programmes Familiar with project management and delivery methodologies Proven track record in delivering multi workstream, cross organisational / geographical business and IT Delivery Experience of working in a highly-matrixed environment, and accustomed to bridging the gap between disparate organisations and cultures Competencies Strong leadership and people management skills Ability to build relationships by communicating, influencing and negotiating effectively with business heads, senior managers, consultants, technical experts across the whole department and business users Outstanding written/verbal communication and presentation skills Exceptional organisational, planning, time management and resource management skills with a proven ability to prioritise competing demands Possesses drive with a positive can do attitude Exceptional problem solving skills Ability to articulate challenging, strategic vision and motivate people to achieve this Be delivery focused with attention to detail and ensure tasks are completed on time and to the required levels of quality Ideal Experience / Skills A background mix of consulting leadership and industry Whilst KYC experience is desirable it is not a prerequisite for the role
