Free New Year's Eve private party

The NYC Young Adult Activity Group will be celebrating the New Year at
at the opening of a new dinner club on the Lower East Side. There is no
admission fee or cover charge for this private party. Champagne to toast
the New Year at midnight will be free. There will also be a free live
comedy show, a DJ and dancing. A dinner of appetizers will be served at
8:15 pm . These will cost $6 - $7 per dish. Ex.: Grilled jumbo shrimps
in a cilantro-based emulsion with jalapeno corn bread, $7.

The group is a free, non-profit organization composed of about 300
university students and young professionals. It was described by the NY
Times as "real life meets "Friends"". Every week, an announcement is
e-mailed to its members, describing the upcoming activity. More than 90
outings have taken place. Often, this has involved a day-trip out of NYC by
volunteer car pool. Past outings have included whitewater rafting, sailing
to the Norwalk Islands, modern dance at the Next Wave Festival and a free
UNICEF concert at Carnegie Hall. Information on how to join can be found
