Dear friends,
Power Shift 2007 unified the youth clean energy movement
like never before, and gave thousands of young people powerful and even
life-changing experiences. At the same time, gathering so many young
world-changers in one place came with a challenge: leaving participants with a
sense of connectedness, a sense of having been both seen and heard.
Building on the lessons of 2007, the Power Shift 2009 Planning Team
intentionally declared that our movement's second ambitious gathering will be intentionally structured so as to enable participants to "connect with fellow
organizers and build community to strengthen our movement and
sustain our own involvement over the long-run."
Power Shift 2009 is now 28 days away, and as we begin to put
the finishing touches on the agenda, we would love your thoughts. By
Thursday, February 5, can you email me at z...@ssc.org with your ideas on how Power Shift
2009 could most effectively and intentionally build community and foster a sense of connectedness?
Check out some ideas here, and email me your feedback:

And here is our current agenda, so you know what we have to
work with:

Zo
