Subject: NY-Masters Bristol Race This Weekend
Hello Masters, we are at Bristol this weekend and registration is open on the website: nymasters.net Please REGISTER BY MIDNIGHT ON THURSDAY 2/15
We are racing with Cleveland Metro and they will collect funds from you directly. Please consider offering to volunteer to help out with the race (info below)!
Race information below:
- All NY Masters racers will check in and register with CMSC in the yurt next to the main lodge (looking up the mountain, it's on the far left); bring cash or a check payable to CMSC Racing; you will need to fill out a waiver
- Lift tickets are $64 each day and can be purchased at the lift ticket window - tell them you are with CMSC
- Race registration is $40 per day or $60 for all three races (XLGS, GS and Slalom)
- Registration is from 8 AM to 9 AM each day; the courses should be open for inspection for the first group at 9 AM; first race starts at 10 AM each day
- We will run two races on Saturday - XLGS and GS; there is one run for the XLGS and two runs for the GS
- We will run one race on Sunday - Slalom (two runs)
- Any racers that would like to volunteer to help the race run smoothy can email Becky Bertuzzi directly - bbert...@gmail.com; for Saturday, we have three work assignments per group (announcer, time recorder and scoreboard); we ask that all volunteers report to the race officials 15 minutes before the start of the race; on Sunday we will have those same three work assignments, plus gatekeeper assignments (anywhere from 5 to 7 gatekeepers, depending on course length); gatekeepers are to report to the top of the race course 15 minutes before the start of the race.
The format of racing for each day:
Saturday GS
CMSC Racing Group 1 with NY Masters - Super G | Top of Comet | 10 AM Start
CMSC Racing Group 2 Super G, CMSC Racing Group 1 GS | U16 Start (halfway down the hill) | Group starts 45 minutes after the end of the first race
CMSC Racing Group 2 GS, NY Masters GS | U16 Start (halfway down the hill) | Group starts 45 minutes after the end of the second race
CMSC Racing Snowboarders | U16 Start (halfway down the hill) | Group starts 45 minutes after the end of the third race
Sunday Slalom
CMSC Racing Group 1 | U16 Start (halfway down the hill) | 10 AM Start
CMSC Racing Group 2, NY Masters | Above the Roadway | Group starts 45 minutes after the end of the first race
CMSC Racing Snowboarders | Above the Roadway | Group starts 45 minutes after the end of the third race
