Hello everyone,

My apologies for sending out this last-minute notice, but please stop by for a panel discussion (“Elections in South Asia”) at the NYU tomorrow if you’re in town.
Things seem to be gradually moving along back in Burma and current quasi-civilian government has been praised by the international community for introducing political and economic reforms... Are they all just methodically designed and planned mainly to maintain the grip on power and sustain business as usual in Burma? What about the military-drafted constitution that distinctly undemocratic and unjust? And, are the upcoming elections a significant step toward democracy? I will be on a panel at the Institute for Public Knowledge at the NYU (20 Cooper Square, New York, NY 10003) on Monday (April 28th @3:00pm) to discuss all these changes - “Prospects for Democracy in Burma’s 2015 elections”.

Date/Time: Monday, April 28 @3:00pm
Location: Institute for Public Knowledge, NYU (20 Cooper Square, New York, NY 10003)

Thanks,
~Tim
