Reasons to abandon libev?

Hi,

I see you have switched away from libev to create your own event signal handler - is there a specific reason why this decision was made? what were the short comings/issues from libev you faced which influenced your decision?

I thought epoll in edge-triggered mode would be more efficient. Libev does not support that. Nxweb became more efficient after moving away from libev. But I am not sure this has not happened due to other optimizations that I made at the same time. Nevertheless I am not moving back to libev just to double check.
