I have an NXT and have about a years experience coding in python.

I would like to contribute to the development of nxt-python especially in the area of updating it to be both compatible to ROS latest distro's and even Linux latest flavors.

I'd like advice and direction on how I can start.

Thank you

That would be great!
NXT support in ROS is very outdated :(
Latest ROS distro supported I think is electric (current is hydro, 3 ages newer).
Also, the ROS node uses version 1 of NXT Python. It should be upgraded to 2.

I can also help of course.

At the moment I'm working on supporting the sensors I have (Dexter Industries dIMU and dCompass, HiTechnic IRLink and Touch Mux).
