Dear Jinhee,

I am using NxFilter as a whitelist in our organisation - there are two policies - Allow and Default.

- Allow is for logged in users who have full unrestricted access;
- Default is for all other users and has "Block All" and "Block Unclassified" thus blocking everything;
- All the allowed sites are in Whitelist -> Keyword

Everything works fine until i have to allow a single site (youtube) for some users on the Default list.
I can create a policy and move them there: Default_and_Youtube, but cannot add a whitelist anywhere except in the global Whitelist.

I know NxFilter is meant to be a blacklist, not a whitelist.

Do you have any idea how can i make this work?

Regards,
Todor

You mean you don't see your 'Default_and_Youtube' policy on Whitelist > Keyword > EDIT?

Hi,

I don't know how to do it. I want to create a profile with "Block All" and "Block Unclassified" checked, and certain sites allowed, separate from the Whitelist (which i can't use, because it works globally for all policies).

An idea: please include a switch in NxFilter, which reverses its operation in policies - instead of block categories, allow categories.
That way i can block all and allow only what i need.

Regards,
Todor

Whitelist can be on policy level. Use 'EDIT' button on whitelist.

Create a custome category having your allowed sites and block other categories.

Don't use 'Block All' if you need to allow some category. It blocks everything on policy level.
