As of v3.1.0, NxFilter can be working as an authoritative DNS server. You can setup your DNS zone
and service it on the Internet. To find out more about this feature read this,

Hi Jinhee,
this seems to be a real interesting feature at least for our usage. I'm just in the way to unmount our internal bind and I was wondering how to work it out......maybe this could be an option.
Is there any option to do a massive upload?

Yes. It's interesting feature. We will add more DNS related features in future. The next thing will be DDNS or dynamic domain service. When you install NxUpdate on a system it will work as a dynamic host updater. And I am thinking of releasing a script version of NxUpdate. This means you can run it on a Linux system. I don't know how much it would be useful for ordinary users. But we are working on it. And for NxCloud users they will be able to build DynDNS like service. So it will be like a combination of OpenDNS and DynDNS.

About your massive upload, do you mean that you have a big BIND zone file? How many hosts do you have? It's supposed to read a bind zone file directly. You can create a zone file on 'DNS > Zone File' and edit it to upload your zone file.

Yeah Jinhee we have 3 huge zones to be imported (before an initial cleaning).
What do you mean with DNS -> Zone File ?  is there an import -export function available?

What I mean is would it be possible to do a zone transfer from those bind server to nxfilter?

Zone transfer was possible in old days. You're not talking about the zone transfer we had under 'Config > Zone Transfer'. Though it's moved into 'DNS > Zone Transfer'. About our zone file feature just create one zone file and test it. You can edit it in the same way as you do with Bind zone file.
