Hi Jinhee;

Search for Images using Google only display 3 lines of images . Search using Yahoo or Bing would display all images.

About Google search we only interfere when you enable safe-search. Did you enable safe-search?

Can you show me a screenshot? I want to test the same keyword myself. And what if you enable safe-search then? Even if with 'safe-search' option when I try 'porn' I see more than 3 lines of images. Many of them. Though those are not porn images.

And without NxFilter do you see all the images? Then what's the result when you do nslookup for search.google.com?

I guess  someone is interrupting. What's your upstream server then? '216.58.196.78' might be your safe-search forcing host for Google.

And we had to use 'www.google.com' instead of 'search.google.com' though the result is still the same. Anyway if it's not NxFilter you were being forced by someone to use safe-search. That actually happens in Korea. Safe-search is always enabled by Google. Check your upstream server by sending DNS query directly to it.

Then when do you get '216.58.196.78'? Was it not on your PC? Or were you not using NxFilter as the DNS server at the time?

You mean that your problem solved? Anyway your problem seems like that someone is redirecting you to 'forcesafesearch.google.com'. NxFilter does that when you enable safe-search on its policy but if it's not NxFilter there's another DNS server interrupting.

These are your upstream DNS servers.

  10.10.3.5
  10.10.3.10

What happens if you query to these servers? When I changed them to 8.8.8.8 it works fine. No safe-search.

OK. Then can you change your upstream server to 8.8.8.8 for testing. If you don't want to do it on your read server you can install one more NxFilter for testing. Test it without changing anything to see if safe-search enabled and then test it with your own upstream server.

One more thing, actually our safe-search enforcing doesn't work against 'search.google.com'. It works against 'www.google.com' or 'google.com'. But you tested with 'search.google.com'. That's strange.

And the other thing, you'd need to see this kind of log when you enable DEBUG mode.

  DEBUG [2016-01-06 20:26:17] - ResponseCache, found a cached response for forcesafesearch.google.com, old ttl = 21599, new ttl = 21545

You can enable debug mode on /nxfilter/conf/log4j.properties. INFO -> DEBUG.
