We provide remote filtering agents for free. They can be an answer to you if you find a solution
for your school or company to filter students in home or employees working from home. There are
several setups you can implement.
1. NxFilter + NxProxy.
When you want to run NxFilter in your school network,
- Open inbound TCP/80 and TCP/443 and route the traffic to your NxFilter.
- Install NxProxy on the laptops for your students. Your students will be under
filtering as long as they use a laptop having NxProxy installed.
2. NxFilter on cloud + NxRelay + NxProxy.
If you want to run NxFilter on cloud.
- Open TCP/80 and TCP/443 on the cloud server for NxRelay and NxProxy.
- Install NxRelay in your school for your school network filtering.
- Install NxProxy on the laptops for your students.
* For AD user importation, you need to open TCP/389 toward your school network.
3. NxCloud for a school district or multiple schools + NxRelay + NxProxy.
If you want to build a cloud based filtering service for multiple schools.
- Open TCP/80 and TCP/443 on the cloud server for NxRelay and NxProxy.
- Install NxRelay in each school for school network filtering.
- Install NxProxy on the laptops for your students.
When you have Active directory in your school, you can install NxProxy through GPO with
its silent install option.
http://nxfilter.org/tutorial/d-nxproxy-and-remote-filtering.php#siNxProxy will show you the logged-in username wherever it is.
When you install NxFilter on cloud or use NxCloud, you can have AD integration for your school
network by NxRelay.
