Hi all,

I have setup NxFilter to be my primary DNS server and it is blocking all URLs/domains successfully listed under shallalist. However, for some cases, it is behaving weirdly.
I have used a Admin block for facebook.com
Google.com is blocked under 'searchengines' in shallalist.

However, when I am trying to access these websites in Chrome/ IE, I am getting the error as shown in the snapshots. Please find them attached.

Any suggestions as to how how I can make this work normally?

Thanks!

That's your browser warning. Read this,

However we are writing a Chrome extension to show you the block-page on HTTPS. It will only work with Chrome but better than nothing.

Hi Jinhee,

I tried changing the https port to 444.
Thereafter, when I tried to open the admin portal, I got the following error ( see below at the end)
I tried changing the port back to 443, yet the same error
Whenever I run startup.sh, it seems to be starting fine, giving me logs etc.
However, when i am running shutdown.sh, it's throwing me an error: ERR

Please help me!! The error is as below:

This site can’t be reached

localhost refused to connect.

ERR_CONNECTION_REFUSED

Hi Jinhee,

I guess i messed up even more. As a trisl to make it work,  I tried changing the listening ip address to 127.0.0.1
I ran startup
I got the error: couldn't update config db

Next, I tried changing it back to 0.0.0.0
I again ran startup
I got the error: Couldn't connect to traffic db, coudn't connect to blacklist db

Try to go back to the old cfg.properties or the default one. And the last one might be coming from a permission problem. Try to run it as admin.
