Meaning of N and T in Sketch on Path - NX8.0.2

First off, the 'N' refers to 'Normal' while the 'T' signifies 'Tangent'. Now if you just select a 'curve' as the path without any other references, these don't really mean a whole lot, however, if the path is an 'edge' of a body then they indicate the 'Normal' and 'Tangent' directions relative to the adjoining faces, as seen in the example below:



Or if you are use a 'curve' for the path and you reference some other face to control the Orientation then the the arrows will again indicate the 'Normal' and 'Tangent' directions, as shown below:



BTW, these 'N' and 'T' arrows can be referenced when assigning constraints while you actually creating your sketch, which is very handy when creating something like a Variational Sweep surface.
