Hi,

Usage notes (Stock_size_)

 ======================================================================

If you have a defined UGII_USER_DIR or UGII_SITE_DIR then merge the contents of this folder into either of those.

If you don’t, then setup either one of the 2 variables and point it to an empty folder. Copy the 3 folder here into that folder.

For example I have done this:

1. Created an environment variable UGII_USER_DIR=c:\temp\myCustomNXApps

2. Copied the startup, application and dfa folders of this package into c:\temp\myCustomNXApps

This shall display a toolbar docked on the right-side of NX window with a box-shaped icon. Also, a new "Stock size" menu-command will be shown under "Tools".

Click on the menu-command or the icon to start the application.

Click on the appropriate button to select a solid-body and a Coordinate System from the screen.

Click on OK to create its stock-size as a wireframe.

Also, observe that a new part-attribute will be created (STOCK_SIZE), indicating the x, y and z sizes of the stock. You reference this part-attribute from any annotation in the part-drawing to display the stock-size in it.

The color of this wireframe is green by default. It would turn red if it fails to update. For example, if the parent solid or the CSYS is unavailable due to any changes in the model.

Have fun!

Best Regards
