Don’t forget!!  Tomorrow, May 4, is the VEGANIC SEED AND INFO SWAP. We’ll be meeting from 6pm – 8pm at Cascadia: 4377 SW 94th, Portland, in the Community Room.

Please join us to learn easy, healthy, sustainable techniques for growing organic vegetables without animal exploitation.  We'll package seeds, talk about our gardens, and share tips from the best veggie varieties to dealing with pests, and nurturing healthy soil. No seeds to share? Then bring vegan snacks!

Hope you can be there (or be square) !

Right now we have about 17 signed up to come (through here and Meetup), but there's still room for any of you to come last minute!  Here's a short list of some of what I'll be bringing to share - if you like novel greens, you're in luck.

  • Stephanie and I are both bringing our extra tomato starts - there may be enough for everyone to take one
  • I'll have a couple purple Tomatillo and a few more ground cherry starts
  • Greens:  Huazontle, Magentaspreen, (maybe Quinoa if I can find it!), Orach, Corn Salad (mache), kale, mixed Asian greens, a mix of my favorite lettuces
  • Pole Beans:  Weinlanderin, Scarlet Runner, Fortex, Black Beans (suitable for our climate)
  • Misc:  Sunflower mix, white popcorn
