The Northwestern University Karate Club will be holding an information
meeting Monday, Sept. 27th at 7pm on the second floor of Patten Gym
(corner of Lincoln and Sheridan).
The NU Karate Club teaches and trains in Shotokan Karate, a traditional
Japanese Martial Art. Shotokan stresses the need for strong mentality in
a confrontation, and teaches the proper body mechanics necessary to create
power in every technique. The NU Karate Club has been teaching
traditional Japanese Karate at NU for over 30 years.
So if you've ever wanted to learn a martial art, learn to fight or defend
yourself, or if you'd just like to have fun, meet people and get fit, come
check us out.
Beginners and advanced students are welcome. Wear loose fitting clothes
(sweats/shorts/t-shirts), and come see what we're all about.
