Digital Media Services, part of the Library's Mitchell Multimedia Center,
is looking to hire 8 consultants for the 2000-2001 academic year. A
brand-new facility is being constructed, projected move-in date some time
mid-November. We need consultants right away to begin working on digital
video projects and prepare for the lab's opening.

Starting pay $9/hour. Apply in person at the Library Personnel office

The Digital Media Services (DMS) facility provides digital imaging, audio
and video digitization, web development, and graphics services to faculty
and graduate students. It also provides a lab for patrons to do their own
work in these areas. Commonly used hardware includes Mac and Windows
computers, scanners, CD writers, film recorders, DV and VHS decks, and
printers. Commonly used software includes Photoshop,Final Cut Pro, Quick
Time and Dreamweaver. The primary responsibility of the DMS Consultant is
to perform assigned digital imaging, web development, and graphics
services. Other responsibilities include: staffing the service desk and
providing technical support to patrons of the lab.

Must be reliable and be able to work well with the public. Must have HTML
authoring skills (Dreamweaver qualifies) and experience in one or more
multimedia or imaging applicaion (such as Photoshop, Final Cut Pro,
Director, Illustrator, Fireworks, Pagemaker, Flash)

Note that there are NO evening or weekend hours for these positions (sorry).
