Programming and Learning Opportunity

The WorldWatcher Project (http://www.worldwatcher.northwestern.edu) is
looking for part-time Windows programmers to maintain and extend our
award-winning WorldWatcher software. WorldWatcher is a geographic
visualization and data analysis environment that puts the power of
scientific visualization tools in the hands of students. Developed
through a research project in the School of Education and Social Policy,
WorldWatcher is soon to be commercially published. It is currently being
used in hundreds of college, high school, and middle school Earth and
Environmental Science classes throughout the world.

We are looking for bright, motivated undergraduate programmers to complete
the development of WorldWatcher 3.0 and then help us transform it from a
standalone application to a networked, scriptable open-ended environment.

Applicants must have experience in Windows user-interface programming in
Visual C++ and be interested in learning about automation.

Opportunities for pay or independent project credit are available.
Salary range: $10/hour or more depending on experience. Work study
positions are available.
