Upcoming Nominations (virtual) Meeting

Greetings! NWSFS is holding its 2020 Nomination Meeting on Saturday, May 23, 2020. In the interest of social distancing, we are holding this meeting via Zoom and not the normal in-person meeting. The ZOOM forum allows both video and telephone connections to this meeting.
We know not everyone is familiar with this technology. Thus, we will have an hour before the meeting to let people call-in/video-in to the meeting. This social hour should allow everyone some time to get comfortable with the medium. The link will be available at our website and on Facebook.
We will start the Zoom social part of the meeting at 3 PM. The NOMINATION MEETING will start at 4 PM. The Zoom meeting will end at 5 PM.
DURING THE NOMINATION MEETING, WE WILL BE RECORDING THE MEETING. This meeting is an official meeting of the membership. Once the meeting is over, we will turn off the recording. At 4 PM, when the Nomination Meeting starts, we will turn off video for everyone but the election committee. Taking this step ensures we have strong bandwidth during the nomination process.
For the meeting we ask the following, set your name to the same name as your NWSFS membership. When signing into ZOOM meeting, you enter a "waiting room." The host admits you to the actual meeting if we recognize your name as a NWSFS member. For example, if you normally go by “TinkerBooâ€, but your NWSFS membership is Jane Doe, please use Jane Doe. This allows the meeting host to ascertain quickly you are a NWSFS member and allow you to enter. If you are planning to phone into the meeting, please send an email to in...@nwsfs.com 24 hours before this meeting with the number you plan to use to allow us time to cross-reference your name to the phone number.
Nominations are open for Treasurer, Vice-President, and President (you know: the Moneyman, the Cruise Director, and the Cat-Herder). Persons nominated must be AT LEAST 18 years of age, have one-year of membership in NWSFS, and be in good standing with NWSFS. Nominees do not have to be present to be nominated. Any member of NWSFS may nominate another member. All nominations must have a second. We will contact any potential Nominee not present at the meeting to determine if they agree to run. All nominees must agree to run.
