...NWS Damage Survey for 6/18/2026 Tornado Event Update #2...

.Update...Review of available satellite imagery over the past
month in conjunction with available radar data from KMOB helped to
finalize the June 18th tornado event. Satellite imagery revealed 5
new tornadoes along with changes to the 6 of the remaining 7
tornadoes released in the previous update. In total, the outbreak
resulted in 4 EF1 tornadoes across southeast Mississippi, 5 EF1
and 3 EF0 tornadoes in far southwest Alabama. No changes were made
to the tornado in Mobile County and is not included in the updated
information below.

Survey Summary:
The tornado first touched down just northwest of the intersection
of King Bee Rd and Ten Mile Church Rd. The tornado uprooted trees
at a residence at Spiers Rd and King Bee Rd. The tornado
intensified and likely reached its maximum intensity as it moved
northeast toward Flint Creek Road. Numerous trees were snapped
and uprooted. In addition, the roof was torn off of a residence
and a mobile home, and roof damage was observed to several sheds
and outside storage buildings. The tornado continued northeast
and weakened as it crossed John Willis Rd. The tornado briefly
intensified again to EF-1 strength as it crossed Highway 26 where
several trees were uprooted and snapped. The tornado weakened and
lifted as it crossed Big Four Rd north of Highway 26.Review of
Sentinel 2 and Planet high resolution satellite imagery revealed
the tornado path to have started earlier along Ten Mile Church
Road where scattered tree damage became apparent in a focused
corridor. To the south, scattered trees were damaged in
association with the storms RFD. The maximum tornado width has
also been adjusted to approximately 375 yards.

Survey Summary:
After reviewing available Sentinel 2 and Planet high resolution
satellite imagery, it was determined a brief EF1 tornado occurred
northeast of Whites Crossing, shortly after the first EF1 tornado
had dissipated. This is also supported by a brief radar indicated
tornado debris signature off of KMOB in this area. This tornado
caused substantial tree damage primarily in forest after crossing
Melton Hatten Road. The tornado lifted in the forest due north of
Miles Cemetery Road.

Survey Summary:
A brief EF1 tornado occurred in the McHenry area, beginning just
southwest of Beech Road, tracking northeast across Beech Road and
Hall Road. On the tornadoes short track, it caused an
approximately 40-yard-wide swath of tree damage visible via both
Sentinel 2 satellite imagery and broadcast media supplied damage
photos. Most the damage was in the form of tree uproots and
snaps, with only minor roofing damage to one of the homes on Hall
Road. It is possible the tornado tracked further northeast;
however additional clearer high resolution satellite imagery will
be needed for any further track adjustments.

Survey Summary:
A brief EF1 tornado occurred across the forest adjacent to Hicks
Camp Road and the Leaf River in rural southwestern Greene County.
This tornado was identified via a combination of high resolution
satellite imagery and the presence of a weak radar tornado debris
signature visible off of KMOB radar. The tornado caused a narrow
path of tree damage, with several trees taken down along Hicks
Camp Road. The tornado likely lifted along the Leaf River where
any visible tree damage comes to an end.

Survey Summary:
Review of available satellite imagery revealed just enough
foliage/tree damage within Squirrel Bayou to assign an
EF0 tornado rating to this tornado. Satellite imagery revealed
minor damage, and most of the track is estimated for its start
and end points based on the presence of a radar tornado debris
signature. Further adjustments are possible with this tornado as
additional high resolution satellite imagery becomes available in
the coming days and weeks.

Survey Summary:
A brief EF-0 tornado touched down just west of Highway 225 between
Kilcrease Rd and Green Jordan Rd and lifted just east of Hwy 225.
The tornado produced spotty tree damage. A couple of small pine
trees were snapped with many other large limbs down. No structural
damage was noted to the homes in the area. The damage also lined
up in the exact location of the radar identified tornado debris 
signature. Review of available satellite imagery revealed 
substantial changes to the overall track and strength of this 
tornado. The tornado began just west of State Highway 225 near 
Soloman Lane, tracking north-northeast across Highway 225 and 
Green Jordan Road. It was here the tornado caused low end EF1 tree
damage. As it continued northward, it once again reached Highway 
225 where it dissipated.

Survey Summary:
Available high resolution satellite imagery revealed a short-
lived EF1 tornado began along Bay Minette Creek, tracking
eastward for just over a half mile. The tornado primarily caused
scattered tree damage along its track through Buzbee Road, with
the most noteworthy tree damage being west of Buzbee Road after
moving onshore. Further review of available imagery revealed the
tornado track ended along Edwards Lane where minor tree damage
continued in tandem with the velocity couplet and radar tornado
debris signature.

Survey Summary:
After review of high resolution satellite imagery and KMOB radar
imagery, a new EF0 tornado was found in the Carpenter area. This
tornado began along Cliffs Landing Road, tracking east-northeast
across D'olive Street before dissipating in the forest. This
tornado caused primarily minor tree damage, with a peak width
around 100 yards on the south side of D'olive Street adjacent to
State Highway 225.

Survey Summary:

KMOB radar data it was determined an EF1 tornado occurred
primarily within forested areas northeast of Steelwood Lake.
Mostly minor tree damage was observed in a narrow, defined path
throughout its track. The tornado lifted along Brady Road as the
circulation cycled/weakened and a new tornado began to its
northeast.

Survey Summary:
After review of high resolution satellite imagery and KMOB radar
data a new EF1 tornado was found to have occurred north of
Gateswood. This tornado began northeast of Brady Road after the
previous tornado dissipated. The tornado caused scattered tree
damage all along a persistent path south of Brady Mill Dam Road.
This is likely where the tornado reached its peak intensity and
width with nearly all widely spaced trees throughout the fields
it crossed being taken down in a nearly 400-yard-wide swath. An
extensive swath of damaging winds also occurred to the south of
the tornado track with around 75 to 85mph RFD winds. The tornado
gradually weakened and narrowed after crossing Brady Mill Dam
Road and County Road 112, with the damage path becoming
intermittent. The radar velocity couplet off KMOB carried all the
way through the Escambia/Baldwin County line east of River Road
along with the intermittent narrow damage path, supporting
continuing the tornado track through this location. After
crossing Perdido River, the tornado quickly dissipated.

Survey Summary:
A brief, weak EF0 tornado occurred within a field and adjacent
forest between Wiggins Still Road and Mosquito Fork Road. High
resolution satellite imagery revealed a narrow, brief path which
lined up well with a weak velocity couplet and tornado debris
signature identified off KMOB radar data. The tornado caused
minor tree damage along its track and was preceded to the
northwest by a strong swath of damaging winds estimated in the
70 to 85mph range.
