...NWS Damage Survey for Graves/Calloway/Trigg Counties...

.Overview...A survey this afternoon examined three areas of
localized wind damage in Graves, Calloway and Trigg Counties.

The damage in Graves County appears to have been a surge
in straight line wind damage embedded in a broader area of winds
at 50 to 60 mph. The damage in Trigg County appears to have been
a more localized microburst embedded within a weaker (but intensifying)
thunderstorm that went on to produce straight line wind damage in
Christian County. The damage in Calloway County appears to have been
from a weak tornado that tracked for less than a mile between Lynn
Grove and Murray in western Calloway County.

.Jones Sparkman Rd Calloway Co...

Rating: EF0
Estimated Peak Wind: 85 mph
Path Length /statute/: 0.86 miles
Path Width /maximum/: 85 yards
Fatalities: 0
Injuries: 0

Start Date: 03/07/2026
Start Time: 11:24 AM CDT
Start Location: 3 NNE Harris Grove / Calloway County / KY
Start Lat/Lon: 36.62 / -88.4061

End Date: 03/07/2026
End Time: 11:25 AM CDT
End Location: 4 NNE Harris Grove / Calloway County / KY
End Lat/Lon: 36.6156 / -88.3918

Survey Summary:
A very brief tornado began producing minor limb and tree damage
before crossing Jones Sparkman Rd west of Murray where it
significantly damaged a fairly wide swath of vinyl fence. Wooden
stakes holding the fence were pulled from the ground and a gate
was thrown upstream from the storm path. A tree was uprooted
convergently into the storm path near the fence location. A large
goat shed was tossed just downstream of the fence location. The
tornado path appeared to end about 8/10ths of a mile from its
origin where it removed shingles from a home. A small/brief TDS
was apparent on radar at the time of the event.
