...NWS Damage Survey for 05/17/26 Tornado Event...

.Overview...Two tornadoes impacted portions of Woodbury County on 
May 17th. Slight adjustments to the previously documented tornado 
tracks and intensity have been made after reviewing additional damage 
information provided by the Sergeant Bluff Fire Department.

Survey Summary:
A tornado touched down south of the Sergeant Bluff Rest Area and
moved northeast through open fields before downing several large
tree limbs along 220th St. The tornado lifted shortly thereafter.

Survey Summary:
A tornado touched down near the intersection of Glen Ellen Rd and
190th St and moved northeast to near 180th St and Charles
Ave before lifting in the adjacent field to the east. Several
outbuildings and trees were damaged along the path with the most
severe damage to an attached garage of a single family home.
